I served curried redfish, the pickled onions, geera rice, puri, and kheer for 4 adults. I pulled some aside for the kids but we still only had a little left. Delish!

I'm so glad to hear it! What did you end up serving with it? Chole are fabulous with any fried bread like puri. I usually serve them with naan, kebabs and a vegetable side like cauliflower. But they are great just spooned over samosas too. They even make a fabulous sandwich filling if you have one of those old school sandwich makers. Just apply chutney to the bread....my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

What else would you serve with chole? I was thinking of doing your rice coconut cherry dish but use rasins and lime zest since that's what I have. I'll also serve some chat type apps. Chole with puri. Anything else? Maybe your raita. So punjabis don't use onion and tomato in their gravy?

I would put the tea in the pressure cooker. This recipe should serve 6-8 depending on how many other dishes you are serving at the same time. Let me know how it turns out!!

Do you think that if I were to use a pressure cooker, I would put the tea into the cooker or put it in with the channa the night before when I soak them? I'm so used to a gravy with tomato and onion. I'm excited and nervous to try this. How many do you think it will serve?
